Hand building is my passion but recently I decided that learning the wheel is on my bucket list. Dogs feature often in my work. I started making them after a period of depression. The first dogs I made were black but a few honey glazed ones have crept in. Winston Churchill often suffered from depression and his words ‘you don’t need to throw stones at every black dog that barks‘ were the inspiration for my dogs. My black dogs represented my depression and provided companionship throughout that time.
I also like rats, rabbits and birds. I used to breed rats and mice as a child. I do have a soft spot for them.
