Rings, bracelets, necklaces, badges, buttons and earrings.
I like to make my own jewellery and wear it to my work as a teacher. It amazes me how hardy ceramic jewellery is. Very rarely pieces break. My most exciting breakage was when I clapped my hands to gain attention in a class of five year olds. I forgot one of the rings I was wearing was metal. The ceramics rings I was wearing exploded quite dramatically when they were clapped against the metal ring. It goes without saying that the 5 year olds were beside themselves with the excitement of it all !
Usually I work in porcelain but also I use other white clays such as Macs mud.
